FULL BIO

Squid Lid is a spectacle of wondrous darkness. They are a glimpse into an alternate world. To attend a Squid Lid performance is to embark on a twisted, deep sea exploration where you can catch a glimpse of many strange and unusual creatures. A vast collection of glowing masks and an eerie cast of striking, inhuman characters morph and change before your very eyes. Signature glowing lights and original set design characterizes the groups' eerie aesthetic. Each song is an original soundtrack to an exciting story about metamorphosis and evolution. Squid Lid has a quirky electronic sound that mashes elements of Neo-Industrial, Electro-House, Crunchy Dubstep, and Circus. Their sound is often described as being cinematic.
Band founder and main contributor James Zirco Fisher composes and arranges thepage1image11576
music, designs the creature masks and plays keyboards and sampled sequences live. Chloe Dellark is a triple threat with enchanting vocals, aerial acrobatics, and an unforgettable stage presence. Dallas Boyes conjures light and video projections during live shows and produces most of Squid Lid's music videos mirroring the magic of the deep sea world where the band originated from. Jonah K co-produces the Squid Lid sound with his dark bass/beats sensibilities and has been part of the group since it's incarnation in 2009. The largest member of the band is Squid Lid's growing fan base known lovingly as their 'Tentacles'.
With two official albums under their lids entitled Steam Powered Submarine and Crypto Zoo, Squid Lid is about to release their third full length album called Tackle Box. To experience Squid Lid online visit SQUIDLID.COM and be in on the glow.
